2 Bio-Medical Engineers and 25 Nursing Officers have been appointed by the Hon. Anuradha Yahampath Governor of the Eastern Province to serve at the Provincial Health Institutions.

This event was held on 06.04.2022 at the Governor's Secretariat Eastern Province with the participation of Mr. Thusitha P. Wanigasinghe Chief Secretary Eastern Province, Mrs. J.J. Muraleetharan Secretary Ministry of Health Eastern Province, Mr. M. Gopalaratnam Secretary Provincial Public Service Commission EP, Dr. A.R.M. Thowfeek Provincial Director of Health Services EP and other officials.

Sustainable Development Council under purview of Ministry of Economic Policies and Plan Implementation conducted its Second Voluntary National Review (VNR) of the implementation of SDG in the Eastern Province on 29^th March 2022 at JKAB Beach Resort, Trincomalee in collaboration with Eastern Provincial Council.

Provincial Planning secretariat, has initiated a training programme in order to strengthen the Planning Process. Based on the concept the one and a half-day programme on the introduction to Result Based Management started on the 15^th of March, 2022.
