The Medium-term Development Plan (MtDP) of the Eastern Province planned for the five years (2022 - 2026) was prepared by the Provincial Planning Secretariat, EPC. The formulated MtDP document was officially handed over to Honorable Anuradha Yahampath, The Governor of Eastern Province on 09.02.2023.

This plan has been prepared, focusing with attaining the vision ‘A prosperous Province leading to sustainable development with happiness, harmony and good governance. It provides a clear picture on gaining intended development results at every sectoral level for next five years through implementing development projects identified in their Annual Development Plans.

In implementation, it is much feasible to share a portion of development interventions from Government Funds. And, major part of investment in implementing the development interventions is anticipated from Donor Countries, INGOs and Private Investors.
