Eng. U.L.A. Nazar, has assumed duties as the new Provincial Director of the Department of Irrigation, Eastern Province on Monday, 02-01-2023 in the Department of Irrigation, Eastern Province.

The opening ceremony of the New Building of the Provincial Director Office of Provincial Irrigation Department was held on 16th December 2020 at Thiraimadu, Batticaloa.

Hon.Anuradha Yahampath, Governor, Eastern Province, Mr.Thusitha P.Wanigasingha, Chief Secretary, Eastern Province, Mr.K.Sivanathan, Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture - EP, The Provincial Director of Irrigation, The Deputy Directors of Provincial Irrigation Department, Irrigation Engineers and staffs of Provincial Irrigation Department were present. With National flag hoisting, the program was started and Ribbon cutting and oil Lambing were followed.
