“Mandous” phonetically sounds as mellifluous as a soft melody, but since it has climatically been reported as a cyclone cold shock, a tragic jeopardy has been inflicted to those who have long been involved in livestock husbandry as their mainstream source of income across the Nation in an unprecedented manner. This cyclone had been rampant 08.12.2022 onwards for consecutive three days, during which considerable number of livestock animals such as cattle, buffaloes, and goats throughout the country were reported dead due to extreme and substandard temperature drop. By the same token, invariably Eastern Province too had largely been affected with casualties of cattle - 664, buffaloes - 58, and goats - 110, which sums up to a total of 832 Animals altogether.
The World Rabies Day 2022 held on 28th September 2022. On this day, the international and national community comes forward to promote the fight against rabies.
