The curtesy call of Netherland Ambassador HE Bonnie Harbach, and the Hon. Governor of the Eastern Province, Mrs. Anuradha Yahampath, was held at the Governor's office in Trincomalee on 10th  February 2023. At the meeting, the ambassador inquired about the present political situation and new investment opportunities in the province.

Further Hon. Governor pointed out that the potentialities of Eastern Province are possessed for investment. Furthermore, the Ambassador also inquired about generating new foreign investment opportunities focusing on ancient Dutch building premises built in Trincomalee and Batticaloa districts. On this occasion, Provincial Chief Secretary R.M.P.S. Rathnayake, Chairman of Provincial Housing Development Authority Mr. J. Jeganathan and others officials of provincial council were also present.
