“ Work shop on skill development for young writers” was held on 17th September 2022 with the support of provincial department of Cultural affairs, under the chairmanship of Mrs.Saranya Sutharsan, Provincial Director of cultural affairs in the Eastern Province.

The objective of this workshop to enhance the skills of the young writers in the Trincomalee District.

In order to encourage reading habits, books produced by Department of Cultural Affairs, Eastern Provincial Council, and a volume of books by Eastern Province writers were gifted to Trincomalee, Batticaloa & Ampara District university libraries, college of Education libraries and public reading libraries.
