Two web-based software systems namely, Asset Management System (AMS) and Revenue Information Management System (RIMS) were officially launched by the Chief Secretary, EPC on 24th January 2018.
The Chief Secretary presiding the function said that AMS will help provincial agencies in minimizing cost of acquiring the assets with limited resources. In addition, it will also help in operating, maintaining, disposing and renewing the non-financial assets.
The RIMS will help Provincial Department of Revenue to efficiently maintain and manage the revenue information from variety of revenue sources. Both systems were developed with financial assistance from the UNDP through its Governance for Local Economic Development Programme (GLED). Both will be made accessible through the official website of the EPC, www.ep.gov.lk.
Deputy Chief Secretaries, Secretaries, Heads of Departments, Chief Accountants, Accountants and senior officials participated at the launching function held at the EPC Conference Hall, Varothayanagar, Trincomalee.
